Kewaskum Chief of Police Tom Bishop Selected for Prestigious FBI National Academy

Kewaskum Police Chief Tom Bishop has been selected to attend Session 293 of the FBI National Academy, a highly esteemed professional development program for law enforcement leaders. Chief Bishop will travel to Quantico, Virginia, to participate in the rigorous 10-week training, becoming the first member of the Kewaskum Police Department to be chosen for this opportunity.

The FBI National Academy is an invitation-only program that brings together law enforcement professionals from across the U.S. and internationally. Participants engage in advanced coursework covering a wide range of topics, including law, behavioral science, forensic science, terrorism, communication, wellness, health and fitness, and leadership development.

Physical fitness and wellness are integral components of the program. A key highlight is the challenging “Yellow Brick Road” course — a demanding 6.1-mile run through a hilly, wooded trail designed by the U.S. Marines. This obstacle-filled course requires participants to scale rock faces, crawl through muddy waters under barbed wire, navigate cargo nets, and more.
