Gaithersburg, MD – Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 2nd District Investigative Section have arrested and charged 65-year-old Gregory Jerome Stamps, of Manassas, Virginia, with two residential burglaries that occurred on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, in the 6000 block of Brookes Lane in Bethesda.
The investigation by detectives has revealed that at approximately 2:05 p.m., a homeowner received a motion sensor alert on his cell phone and observed through his home security cameras a suspect, later identified as Stamps, attempting to break into his home, which was unoccupied at that time. The homeowner called 9-1-1, reported the crime and provided the description of the suspect. …
