VDOT crews carry out emergency repairs to I-95 following large crash in Fredericksburg

FREDRICKSBURG, Va. (7News) — A multi-car crash in Fredricksburg on Thursday morning shut down all lanes of Interstate 95 and caused a 12-mile backup on the highway, according to transportation officials.

Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) crews spent all afternoon repaving the asphalt damaged by a vehicle that caught fire during the accident and repairing the guardrails, according to VDOT.
