Since the Summer of 2022, at the direction of Mayor Mike Spano and Commissioner Sapienza, we have conducted several dedicated details to enforce the reckless operation of mopeds and motorcycles.
Despite being something that is enforced regularly by our Officers, we found that dedicated and concentrated efforts, primarily by our experienced plainclothes units, make a significant impact on the number of illegal vehicles that we can take off the roadway…
