Saturday just wasn’t the day for Spring Mills’s offense. They came up short against the Hurricane Redskins on Saturday, falling 4-0. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can’t take it too hard given the team’s big disadvantage in MaxPreps’ West Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 38th, while the Redskins are ranked first).

Spring Mills’ defeat dropped their record down to 3-6-2. As for Hurricane, they pushed their record up to 9-0-2 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Spring Mills’ road trip will continue as they head out to face Martinsburg at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hurricane, they will square off against George Washington at 8:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams will come into the game having just posted big wins, so someone is set to suffer a big change in fortunes…
