Staten Island prosecutor receives prestigious medal from N.Y.C. Bar Association

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Executive Assistant District Attorney Darren Albanese received the Thomas E. Dewey Medal from the New York City Bar Association at its annual award ceremony Monday.

The award is given annually to honor an outstanding prosecutor from each of the five boroughs and the Special Narcotics Prosecutor’s Office in the name of Thomas E. Dewey, the former Manhattan district attorney and governor of New York.

“I am so incredibly humbled to be a part of this fraternity of Dewey Medal recipients,’’ said Albanese. “Serving as a prosecutor has allowed me to do what I love to: Try cases, protect victims of crimes, and hold offenders accountable.”…
