Hurricane Helene victims getting help from volunteer group

STATESBORO, Ga. — Almost three weeks after Hurricane Helene left its path of destruction in Southeast Georgia, there is still plenty of work to be done to clean up from that storm.

And, one group is lending a helping hand in an attempt to return to normalcy and doing it all free of charge.

The sound of chainsaws is still prevalent in areas of Statesboro and Bulloch County as residents continue to pick up the pieces from the aftermath of Hurricane Helene…
