Yale police issue warning following series of attempted robberies

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — The Yale Police Chief is warning the Yale community to be vigilant after two robberies and an attempted robbery occurred in the past week.

All three of the robberies are being investigated by the New Haven Police Department.

On Sunday, at around 7:39 p.m., a graduate student was walking near Elm Street between College Street and Temple Street when they were approached by two people from behind who told him to empty his pockets. The student ran and was briefly chased by one of the men, said police. No weapons were displayed and nothing was taken. The suspects fled on Elm Street toward Church Street. No injuries were reported…
