Adding to the endless mystery of abandoned puppies, ThisIsHouston tells us the story of two adorable puppies left next to the car of a hiker enjoying the beautiful outdoors. When the woman returned to her car, there they were – two puppies left inside of a zippered canvas carrier; no doubt intended to keep the puppies safe from running away or getting struck by a vehicle in the parking lot.
The woman waited for awhile thinking the owner might be coming right back, but no one ever returned looking for the puppies. Perhaps the owner had been in dire need and thought leaving the puppies would be better for them? Of course, abandoning pets are illegal, and it’s only good luck these puppies landed in good hands. What could have happened to them had they been found by the wrong people, remains unthinkable.
Now they have been in the care of ThisIsHouston and are ready to be adopted. The puppies are 12-weeks-old; one is a male, and the other is a female. They have been named Benelli and Remington.
Benelli has the white socks and is the calmest of the two, but never underestimate his ability to meet with some mischief here and there, He’s been having a harder time than his sister with his potty training, but he’s starting to get the hang of the proper etiquette. To make up for his shortcomings at this time, he is guaranteed to wrap his new family around his tiny paws as he just loves to cuddle.
Now Remington is described as a “little spitfire” who can be sneaky, but she is one sweet puppy.
They’ll be ready for local adoption trials in a few weeks. Adoption fees cover all vetting including spay/neuter when they reach six months of age. Meet and greets can be coordinated with approved applicants.
