HOUSTON, Texas — Charges have been filed against a suspect in the fatal shooting of a man at an apartment complex on Richmond Avenue, according to the Houston Police Department. The incident occurred around 6:20 p.m. on November 14.
Trezahn Jamal Grace, a 28-year-old, is charged with murder in the 184th State District Court. The victim has been identified as 34-year-old Darius Merrett. Houston police officers responded to the scene and found Merrett unresponsive on a set of stairs, having been shot multiple times. Paramedics from the Houston Fire Department pronounced him deceased at the scene.
