FSU offensive lineman Richie Leonard out for SMU game

The Florida State Seminoles will be without offensive guard Richie Leonard IV this evening against SMU, an FSU spokesman confirmed on Saturday

Roydell Williams will not play for the second game in a row, which is an expected move after Mike Norvell mentioned earlier this week that the running back will be out for an “extended period.” As previously announced, wide receivers Destyn Hill and Jaylin Lucas are both out for the season with injuries.

In his first season at FSU, Leonard has been on the better pieces on the Florida State offensive front, playing the third most snaps on the offense behind center Maurice Smith and DJ Uiagalelei. Florida State will start their fifth different offensive line combination in five games against SMU. Transfer TJ Ferguson and second-year guard Keiondre Jones will be first in line to replace Leonard, but Andre’ Otto and Julian Armella could also see extended snaps…
