ST. PETERSBURG, Florida — A masked man attempted to carjack a couple outside the Crafty Crab on Tyrone Blvd, resulting in a shooting, according to the St. Petersburg Police Department. The incident occurred shortly after 8 p.m. on December 4.
The husband, who was waiting in the car while his wife picked up food, shot the suspect, identified as Simon White, who then fled the scene. White was later transported to Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital, where he remains in critical but stable condition.
Once released, he will face charges including attempted carjacking and occupied vehicle trespassing, according to the police…
