Following a wild, Stranger Things-themed Halloween bash in St. Petersburg, FL, Goose descended on St. Augustine Amphitheatre for a two-night stand that kept the magic going.

Friday’s show kicked things off with “Hot Love & The Lazy Poet”, setting a mellow, groove-laden mood that would carry through the night. Next came “Butterflies” and “California Magic”, a pair of tunes highlighting the band’s ability to seamlessly shift between dreamy and upbeat vibes. The set took a literary turn with “I’m Writing A Novel”, a Father John Misty cover, followed by “One In, One Out”, which dissolved into a playful take on Devo’s “Whip It”.

The second set opened with the powerful “Big Modern!”, a song that has quickly become a staple of the band’s live repertoire since its debut in September. Goose kept the energy high with “Red Bird”, bringing an improvisational flair before transitioning into a fast-paced rendition of “Echo of a Rose”. The band then acknowledged its jam band heritage and a-Phil-iations with the Grateful Dead‘s “Mississippi Half-Step Uptown Toodeloo”, which resounded with the echo of Phil Lesh‘s recent passing.
