State of Florida Hails Buccaneers Star With Special Announcement

Ron DeSantis, in an act as Governor of the state of Florida, made a special announcement on Friday to honor Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans.

Noting his “eleventh-straight 1,000-yard season, tying the current record for the most consecutive 1,000-yard seasons in NFL history” and celebrating “Mike Evans for his profound dedication to the sport of football, making countless memories for fans across the Sunshine state and across the country,” January 10th, 2025 was declared Mike Evans Day.
