The Foreman supervises the Street Department Laborers and road maintenance contractors in the absence of the Supervisor.

The Foreman operates trucks, tractors, and other assigned equipment. They maintain this equipment and assist in keeping maintenance records. Regular inspection of town roads to ensure proper functioning is part of their duties. They also maintain and install traffic signs, perform basic carpentry and concrete work, and locate utility lines before excavation.
