South Sumter High Welcomes Eoghan Cullen As Offensive Line Coach

BUSHNELL, Fla. — Eoghan Cullen, a seasoned high school football coach and Army Veteran, is taking the reins as South Sumter High School’s new offensive line coach, marking another chapter in his storied coaching career. Cullen, whose coaching journey has taken him across Central Florida, brings a wealth of experience and a passion for the game that resonates with players and colleagues alike.

Cullen’s most recent stop was at Forest High School in Ocala, where he served on the coaching staff for several years. It was a familiar place for Cullen, who started his coaching career there as an assistant from 2017 to 2019 before moving on to a head coaching position at Lake Weir High School. South Sumter offers a great opportunity for Cullen who who served in the U.S. Army serving for 17-years as an infantryman and did two tours in Iraq and one in Afghanistan retiring in 2014.

Cullen knows a thing or two about winning. He played for the Lakeland Dreadnaughts during his high school days and won an FHSAA State Championship in 1996.

Now, he’s ready to tackle a new challenge with the South Sumter Raiders, a program with a strong football tradition. Cullen’s expertise in developing offensive linemen and his commitment to fostering a winning culture are expected to make a significant impact.
