We elect our city and county leaders with the hopes that they will be good stewards of our lives. In the case of our elected officials, I think they have dropped the ball.
They seem to be more concerned with developing the beautiful farms and woodlands with housing developments and any open parcels of land with car washes and self storage. I dread seeing what our beautiful county will look like if we continue to elect people more interested in the tax base than our quality of life.
Ironically, the taxes they collect aren’t going for the infrastructure needed to support all that new growth. The roads are an embarrassment and there aren’t enough fire stations to handle all the new developments…
