CHICAGO — Prosecutors have charged an 18-year-old man with carjacking one victim and robbing another in a separate incident the same day. Cameron White, 18, is accused of working with an accomplice who displayed a handgun during both crimes, but White is the only person who has been charged so far.
It started around 6 p.m. when White and his accomplice took keys and a phone from a 44-year-old man in the 5400 block of South Spaulding, according to CPD. White allegedly took the man’s items while the accomplice held the victim at gunpoint. They both fled in his 2011 Honda Pilot.
Less than an hour later, they allegedly robbed a 28-year-old man in the 5300 block of South Campbell. Once again, White’s partner held the victim at gunpoint while White took the man’s wallet, phone, and cigarettes, according to a Chicago police arrest report…
