OAK PARK, Ill. — Mourners paid their final respects to a fallen suburban police detective who many described as a humble soul.
Oak Park police detective Allan Reddins was laid to rest Thursday morning in a private burial following a funeral service at the Apostolic Church of God, which welcomed hundreds of attendees.
Killed in the line of duty the day after Thanksgiving, those closest to Reddins say he was committed to training and work but, above all else, was dedicated to his family.
