TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – The Delta school district was one of 34 schools to be selected as a grant winner from a technical education program.
The Delta school district received the most out of every Ohio school, reaching $2.5 million. These tech funds will be used for a career exploration lab, a greenhouse, and an industrial kitchen. The grant money will also go towards new equipment to better prepare kids for tech careers.
“Getting kids to do hands-on labs, practicing drawing blood on a fake arm or actually flying drones, practicing welding on virtual equipment, exposing them to all the options that are out there,” Superintendent of Delta Schools Jon Burke said…
