Nathan and Alicia Lawson, black entrepreneurs who built Time Away RV Resort in Lincoln, Ala. into a thriving business, are in escrow to purchase a 180-site campground outside Toledo, Ohio.
“We can’t wait to get started,” Alicia Lawson told Woodall’s Campground Magazine, noting that the park, currently known as Big Sandy RV Park in Swanton, will be rebranded as Superior Made RV Resort when it opens next spring. The targeted opening date is March 1.
Several family members are joining the Lawsons as investors in their latest RV resort project, which is located in their hometown of Toledo. They plan to improve with over $600,000 worth of improvements over the next few years, Lawson said, adding that “founding members” of Time Away RV Resort will also be considered as founding members of the Lawsons’ newest RV resort project…
