Kansas Winter Weather Advisory: Snow and Freezing Wind Chill Expected on Martin Luther King Day

Dodge City, KS – Residents in southwest Kansas should prepare for a winter storm bringing snow and dangerously cold wind chills Monday. Travel could become hazardous, particularly along major routes such as U.S. Route 50 and K-96.

According to the National Weather Service in Dodge City, a Winter Weather Advisory will be in effect from 3 a.m. Monday until 6 p.m. Total snow accumulations of up to two inches are expected, with wind chills plummeting to -15 to -20 degrees during the coldest hours. The advisory spans central, southwest, and west-central Kansas, including Dodge City, Garden City, and Liberal.
