New Jersey – A Red Flag Warning is in effect statewide today until 6 p.m., with critical fire weather conditions creating a significant wildfire risk. Residents are urged to remain vigilant as strong winds, low humidity, and dry vegetation make fires likely to spread quickly and become difficult to control.

According to the New Jersey Forest Fire Service, Stage 3 Fire Restrictions are also in place statewide. This prohibits all open flames unless contained within elevated stoves fueled by propane, gas, or electricity. Charcoal fires are strictly banned under these restrictions.
