Princeton battles back in second half to defeat Woodrow Wilson, 14-7

PRINCETON, W.Va. — In their run to the 2023 Class AAA state championship game, Princeton collected a host of impressive victories to qualify for the Super Six. PHS head coach Keith Taylor believes Friday’s 14-7 win over Woodrow Wilson may top all of those wins from a year ago.

The Tigers took the field without playmakers Marquel Lowe and Brad Mossor. Both players were ejected in Princeton’s last game at Winfield and were suspended for this contest. PHS rallied from a 7-0 halftime deficit to collect their seventh win of the season (7-0).

“I told them that this is the most proud I have been in a football team since we have been here. I am more happy with the way we played in a game like this because it means more. It is a ‘Team is greater than me’ attitude. It is what we have been preaching since we got here. It doesn’t matter who is wearing a Princeton jersey. At the end of the day, if I’ve got eleven guys out there, they are going to fight for everything we’ve got,” said Princeton head coach Keith Taylor…
