WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – The 12th-ranked Trinity College men’s ice hockey team cruised to a 6-2 victory over Williams College in a New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) matchup. The Bantams improve to 8-3-1 overall and 4-1-1 in NESCAC play, while the Ephs fall to 4-7-1 overall and 3-5-0 in the conference.
Trinity wasted no time getting on the board, striking first just 4:25 into the contest when Richard Boysen scored, with assists from Spencer Korona and James Barbour. Later in the opening period, Eamon Doheny capitalized on a shorthanded opportunity, finding the back of the net with help from Chase McInnis and Aidan D’Urso, giving Trinity a 2-0 lead heading into the second period.
The Bantams extended their advantage early in the second frame. At 3:53, Barbour scored on the power play, with assists from Alexander Mozian and Korona. Williams responded at 11:58 when Rowan Heithoff got the Ephs on the scoreboard, narrowing the gap to 3-1 as the game entered the final period…
