The New York Jets name Phil Savage as the interim GM following Joe Douglas being let go after a loss to the Indianapolis.

Phil Savage is a former assistant coach and broadcaster for the Crimson Tide. From 1987-89 Savage worked as a graduate assistant and tight ends coach during his early years with the team before joining the UCLA Bruins in the year of 1990.
