TWIN FALLS — Police reportedly found severe bruising on multiple areas of a woman’s body last month after she said she was beaten by a Twin Falls man.
Mohamad Z. Saad, 20, now faces multiple felonies, including aggravated battery, two counts of attempted strangulation, second-degree kidnapping and witness intimidation, after a Nov. 27 incident after police say he became enraged at the woman.
Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Kiel Willmore during Saad’s initial hearing on Nov. 29 noted the “extreme level of violence” Saad is accused of and requested bail be set at $500,000. Judge Benjamin Harmer upped it to $750,000.
The woman, who notified police a day after the incident and said she had known Saad for two years, said she was inside a parked vehicle with a window cracked open when Saad forced the window open, entered the vehicle and began beating her, at one time putting her in a chokehold.
