(Tyler, TX) Two shocking arrests in East Texas are being reported by the Smith County Sheriff’s Office where a mother and her son were taken into custody for injuring an infant in their care.
When we received the press release from Smith County Sheriff Larry Smith, he included a statement in the email that said: “These types of cases are always hard on the responding Deputies and Investigators. Thoughts and prayers for this infant.”
On Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at approximately 6:00 pm a Smith County Deputy responded to UT Health in Tyler regarding a possible child abuse.
