Elizabeth “Betty” Owen, Ballston Spa, formerly of Dolgeville, New York, died at her home on September 18, 2024, at the age of 74.
Elizabeth Ann Starr was born on April 29, 1950 in Forestburgh, New York. Her parents were the late Melvin Starr and Ruth Marie Declercq. She attended Catholic School at St. Josephs in Monticello, NY, graduating in 1968. After graduating high school, she attended SUNY Cortland where she met her future husband, Terry Owen.
Elizabeth and Terry were married on August 22, 1970, at St. Joseph’s Parish in Forestburgh. They had two beautiful daughters, Sherry Anne and Susan. After briefly living in Cortland, and then Herkimer, NY, they eventually moved to Dolgeville in 1976…
