The National Weather Service issued a report at 1:47 p.m. on Saturday for strong thunderstorms until 2:15 p.m. for Chautauqua, Cattaraugus and Erie counties.
Look for marble-sized hail (0.5 inches) and wind gusts of up to 40 mph.
“At 1:46 p.m., Doppler radar tracked a strong thunderstorm near Gowanda, or 15 miles east of Fredonia, moving east at 30 mph,” says the weather service. “Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible.”…
