Sacramento taco stand employees fight off armed robber

A 21-year-old man was arrested Friday night after employees of a South Sacramento taco stand fought him off during an attempted armed robbery, the sheriff’s office said.

According to the Sacramento Sheriff’s Office, Brandon McGrath allegedly tried to rob a taco stand near Fruitridge Road and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard at gunpoint around 9:30 p.m.

Employees of the taco stand wrestled the man to the ground and knocked the gun loose. They held him down until Sacramento Police officers and Sacramento County deputies arrived to take McGrath into custody, the sheriff’s office said …
