Cool and sunny to close out the weekend before a cloudy and warm Christmas week

ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) – High pressure will reinforce the cool air blanketing South Georgia. Abundant sunshine today, with highs climbing into the brisk 50s again. The temperature will return to the 30s overnight. Areas of frost are possible tonight. Winds will be light out of the northeast.

High pressure will slide northeast, allowing easterly winds to drive in Atlantic moisture and slightly warmer highs. Highs will climb into the upper 50s for Monday with more seasonable lows in the 40s. A few light showers cannot be ruled out starting Tuesday as clouds move in.

Christmas and onward show temperatures increasing into the 60s and low 70s. Rain chances grow as Atlantic moisture continues to move in bringing up to a 40% chance of rainfall into the next weekend…
