MACON, Ga. (WALB) – The United States Attorney’s Office of the Middle District of Georgia has announced that C. Shanelle Booker is now the Acting U.S. Attorney.
Booker officially took the position on Jan. 12.
According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Booker is the first black person and first black woman to hold the top law enforcement job. Booker has served the residents of the Middle District of Georgia as a federal prosecutor since 2015…
