Severe weather is possible on Sunday then quiet next week

ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) – A line of strong to severe storms arrives tonight ahead of a frontal boundary that moves in on Sunday. A Slight Risk (2 out of 5) has been put up across South Georgia for Sunday morning. The severe threat features all modes of severe weather including a damaging wind threat (15%), small hail (5%), and an isolated tornado threat (2%). The timing is currently between 5 AM and just after noon on Sunday.

After the cold front passes, we dry out and cool off on Sunday evening. Highs will fall from the 70s into the 40s for lows for Monday morning. Areas of fog cannot be ruled out. Monday is still dry and mild in the 70s, but a low-end rain chance arrives on Tuesday as the next front moves in to close out 2024. No severe weather with these isolated showers…
