This past Friday night, the Central Church of Christ held an old-time gospel sing as in days gone by. The auditorium was filled with saints from Valdosta to Marietta. What a great way to start a new year! Fifteen times in seven verses in the book of Psalms, using the King James Version of the Bible, we find the phrase “make a joyful noise unto the Lord.” Yet, Solomon in all his wisdom, in Ecclesiastes chapter three, while giving us the lesson about there being a “time” for many things, never mentions there is a time to sing or a time for song.
