VALDOSTA, Ga. (WALB) – They call Valdosta Titletown for a reason. Despite slipping down the stretch of the regular season, the playoffs bring out the best in the winningest high school program in the nation. The Wildcats traveled to Walton and put on a show through the air. Todd Robinson threw for more than 400 yards and 5 touchdowns, while the defense had the Raiders signal caller running for his life.
Coach Shelton Felton said the support never falls short in the community for his program. The proof is in the pudding with the Wildcats receiving the highest number of votes to be crowned this week’s top team.
The upcoming challenge will be the most difficult test year for Valdosta. Last season Carrollton eliminated the Wildcats. Friday will be a rematch with the Trojans and top rated quarterback Juju Lewis on the calendar. Valdosta is no stranger to adversity. From hurricanes, to floods, to injuries, and now Trojans, the one constant is this team will be ready come Friday night…
