The City of Pittsburg has announced a coyote sighting occurred at River View Park on October 21, 2024. The announcement was made to make the community aware. No incident was reported.
The city encourages the community to keep the following in mind if you are in or around River View Park:
- Stay alert and avoid walking alone, especially at dusk or dawn when wildlife is most active.
- Keep pets on a leash and closely supervised.
- Do not approach or feed wildlife. Coyotes can become more aggressive if they associate humans with food.
