S.F. to close key segment of Central Subway next month — to fix a water leak

Transportation officials in San Francisco will close a key segment of the Central Subway next month — from Chinatown-Rose Pak Station to Fourth and Brannan streets — so that crews can fix a water leak.

The shutdown will start on Feb. 26 and run through March 14, with buses filling the gap, according to San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency’s interim director Julie Kirschbaum, who announced the repairs at a board meeting Tuesday.
