Two suspects are now behind bars after a recent robbery in San Francisco’s bustling Central district. The San Francisco Police Department announced the arrests following a theft that unfolded in broad daylight last week on Grant Avenue. According to the San Francisco Police Department’s official report, the incident occurred around 4:45 p.m. last Friday. A victim, standing outside with belongings on a bench, was targeted by a passing vehicle from which a passenger snatched the victim’s items. The perpetrators sped away despite the victim’s attempts to stop and retrieve their property.
An investigation led officers to identify and eventually locate the vehicle in question. They detained two individuals matching the descriptions near the 5th and Mission Streets area. It’s reported that the victim’s stolen property was recovered and subsequently returned. The suspects, 38-year-old Calvin Fries, and 34-year-old Alexa Landa have been charged with multiple counts, including robbery and conspiracy, among others.
