Ten Citizens File For Hillsboro City Council Seat Vacated By New Mayor Beach Pace

Breaking News- Hillsboro, Oregon:

Last night at the Hillsboro City Council meeting, Beach Pace vacated her Ward 1 Seat and became the New Mayor of Hillsboro. At the same time, her seat opened.  That means there will not be an election for her seat. Instead, the new City Council installed last night will review candidates and decide who will get a 4-year term.  This is unusual, and the people of Hillsboro will have little to say about who will fill out the 6th and final seat.

The November elections were very contentious, with voters being courted by a group of 3 hopefuls who ran as a cohort with Pace, who ran for Mayor.  Jake Mead was defeated by Elizabeth Case but not by a wide margin, and Rob Harris won over Marc Grambo, who had campaign woes late in his run. Sava Anvery ran unopposed.  The panel of 4 was installed and will mix in now with returning Councilors Kipperlynn Sinclair and Olivia Alcaire who each have two years left…
