INDIAN RIVER COUNTY − A Brightline train struck and killed a man Tuesday afternoon in the area of 12th Street and Old Dixie Highway, in Vero Beach, according to the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff Eric Flowers said a train hit the unidentified man at approximately 3:15 p.m. He said detectives remain at the scene and are investigating the incident. It is unknown if the death was a suicide or an accident.
