“It’s very hard to process,” Port St. Lucie Police Chief Leo Niemczyk admitted. “We’re human, you know, and all too often, we don’t want to admit it and don’t want to acknowledge that we’re affected by something, but the truth of the matter is that the cops are just people too.”
