Some animals might hold onto hope when they enter a shelter. They believe there might be a better life for them once they’re out of there, but far too often, animals are left with hope waning each day.
One dog found herself giving up on finding a forever home. A TikTok video posted on September 2 by user @_thatdoggirl_ showed a small dog named Tinker sitting inside the kennel at Florida’s Saving Sage Animal Rescue. Her back faced everyone. She wouldn’t turn around. Instead, she hung her head in disappointment, pondering what had become of her life.
The video creator, Dali, told Newsweek via TikTok that Tinker would sit like that for “hours at a time.” She wouldn’t budge. Hope vanished. Unfortunately, she’s not the only one to give up while living in an animal shelter for days, weeks or months at a time…
