The Nixon-Smiley Mustang powerlifting teams traveled to St. Joseph’s in Victoria on Jan. 11 for their first season meet. There were 12 teams in attendance, including Nixon- Smiley, Victoria East, Victoria West, El Campo, Luling, and Bay City. The Nixon-Smiley boys team finished first, and the girls team finished third.
