Texas sends resources to aid California wildfire efforts

BEAUMONT, Texas — The State of Texas is deploying 135 firefighters and emergency personnel, along with over 45 fire engines, to assist in battling the devastating California wildfires. The deployment is directed by the Governor through the Texas Division of Emergency Management and Texas A&M Forest Service.

The City of Beaumont has not received a direct request to send resources and will not voluntarily deploy at this time to prioritize local safety, according to a press release from the City of Beaumont.
