California has gotten rid of $353 million worth of illegal cannabis found in these counties

Approximately $353 million worth of illegal cannabis has been seized in California across more than two dozen counties, California Attorney General Rob Bonta announced.

The multi-agency Eradication and Prevention of Illicit Cannabis program got rid of 774,829 illegally cultivated cannabis plants and 106,141 pounds of processed cannabis, according to a news release . The program describes itself as investigating and prosecuting illegal cannabis cultivation cases with a “focus on environmental and economic harms and labor exploitation.”

EPIC teams across the state conducted over 600 operations in 2024 across more than half of California’s counties, and it led to 282 arrests…
