The 15 Freeway in Victorville was shut down for about an hour as crews worked to remove a large fiber optic cable that fell onto traffic lanes after being knocked loose by a construction vehicle on Wednesday morning.
The mishap was first reported about 10:30 a.m. along the freeway, just south of Bear Valley Road, according to California Highway Patrol logs.
