ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – Seven people are accused of taking over a dead man’s home in Cobb County while his body was still inside. Detectives say they also allegedly stole money, electronics and the dead man’s car.
At the beginning of October, Cobb County police responded to a home on Harold Avenue in Smyrna for a welfare check. They found 71-year-old Robert Westbrook dead in a bathtub.
