PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — Portsmouth Police responded to a shooting Tuesday morning on Gilmerton and Prentis Avenue.
Officers arrived on the 300 block of Gilmerton Avenue around 10:20 a.m. and found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. The Portsmouth police mobile command unit, detectives, and forensics — blocking off the area to investigate.
On the scene, police placed a black tarp around an area on the sidewalk.
