CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) – A woman was arrested Tuesday afternoon in connection with a vehicle pursuit near the Gilmerton Bridge.
According to officials, an officer with the Chesapeake Police Department attempted a traffic stop around 12:16 p.m. on Military Highway near Michael Drive because the license plate did not belong to the vehicle.
The vehicle did not stop, leading to an 18-minute pursuit.
The driver of the vehicle, later identified as 44-year-old Crystal Jones, drove over spike strips deployed by officers and stopped on Military Highway near the Gilmerton Bridge…
